He is a former three-time All-American Decathlon athlete in track and field and former 1996 Olympic hopeful turned biotech medical director with over 23 years as a successful motivational speaker.

Dr. Hicks has inspired thousands, nationally and internationally in areas of health and wellness, leadership, stress management, emotional intelligence and self-empowerment.

Dr. Hicks is the Founder and CEO of the Three V’s LLC and author of Value, Vision and Versatility. These key elements, as illustrated by Hicks research, are essential to be successful in life.

Without one, a void is created which ultimately derails individuals off the path to their purpose.  For example, one can have values and vision, but without versatility, it’s very difficult to navigate through life and adapt to ever-changing circumstances.

Simply put, the trio works in congruence to provide the ultimate guide through life and in determining who individuals are meant to be.

“If you are looking to change your life and need to have a clear blueprint, his book will help you hit that goal.” – Justin Soultatos, Visionary, Author, Entrepreneur & Motivational Speaker

Dr. Hicks is creating a new complementary methodology and way of thinking in the transition from Exercise Science to Exercise Medicine.

He feels that exercise should be used in conjunction with conventional medicine as a complementary and cost-effective method of improving overall health.

Dr. Hicks also states that exercise offers preventative and therapeutic psychological benefits. It can reduce the risk of depression and chronic pain, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

The World Health Organization (WHO, 2011), for example, recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity, such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming.

Dr. Hicks shares that research shows regular exercise decreases chronic inflammation, resulting in improved musculoskeletal and cardiac health (Warburton et al., 2006).

Effects of exercise on the brain and mental functioning include the release of endorphins in the body (Endorphins are a chemical in the brain associated with positive mood).

Dr. Hicks believes that exercise is a relatively simple, cost-effective medical intervention which requires little more than structured, engaging activity in a supportive, encouraging framework.

Dr. Hicks goal is to educate and give insight into the new way of understanding how exercise can be used as an effective complimentary method for treating physical and mental diseases.

Hicks many programs and workshops include:

  • Wellness and Self-Care – Focuses on critical components of health and wellness related to managing stress.
  • Exercise as a Treatment for Mental and Physical Disease – Helps uncover the complex health issues associated with a sedentary lifestyle.
  • Changing Learned Behaviors Through Healthy Living – Assist in discovering all the roadblocks, challenges, opportunities, and misconceptions associated with healthy living.

As an expert in the shift from Exercise Science to Exercise Medicine, Dr. Hicks offers numerous resources for others to utilize so that they too can transform their lives into healthier, happier and more satisfying journeys.

Using his more than two decades of healthcare experience and in working with NFL, NBA, Tennis professionals and Olympic athletes, Hicks is eager to share his knowledge and experience with individuals worldwide who are looking to learn more and obtain their best self.

Coach Corey’s life is based on the concept that “all things are possible.” By incorporating his recommended daily methods, all things certainly can be possible.
