New Beginnings And Transformation From World-Class Business Change Makers

New Beginnings and Transformation From World-Class Business Change Makers

Easter is all about new beginnings and transformations.

This last year has forced us all to pivot and for many of us, start afresh. I have had many new beginnings and transformations in my own life and business. Coming from a past of horrific bullying and suffering from severe drug addiction, my personal transformation took me from that life to the PR and Media expert you see before you today.

I want to shine a light that there is no such thing as the end. With every end dawns a new beginning.  I have put together this list of business experts to share their opinions on New Beginnings and Transformations. In no particular order….

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

At the start of my business journey in 2017, I was appointed as a consultant to help businesses in the creative industries to transform the way they operated. This was due to my 20 year experience and reputation as an Operations Director across a number of creative agencies. Although I was extremely grateful for this opportunity, as it meant my business took off immediately, I knew it was going to take time for businesses to trust me as their coach and for my mission to come to life: To train leaders and their teams to achieve a high-performance culture.

I had spent a whole four years training to be a coach and was eager to get going straight away, but I knew I had to be patient and give people time to see me in this new way and to prove my value.

Fast-forward a year later, and having worked with organisations demonstrating the benefits of my coaching programmes covering behavioural change, organisational change, leadership, and more, I was recognised for my outstanding contribution and was awarded the ICG International Coach of the year 2020. This award meant so much. My patience, resilience, belief, and hard work had paid off.  My business had a new beginning. My mission had come to life.

This new beginning has transformed my business, from who I now work with to the value I can provide to my clients.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in leadership in the creative industry to grow and flourish through 2021?

Leaders are going to be experiencing lots of changes over the next ten years across all areas of business at a rate of speed we have never seen before.

Embracing and welcoming new beginnings and transformations will be vital for long-term, sustainable success.

Change can be scary and it can be much easier to stay in your comfort zone and therefore miss these new opportunities.  As leaders, we must take action, expand our comfort zones and step into change with an open mind and heart.

My tip to do this successfully and with courage is to give yourself the gift of ‘certainty’.  The certainty that you know you will give it your best; you will do the work required and you will show up and be able to handle whatever happens.  We do not know what the future will bring but having certainty in yourself is what will help you embrace the uncertainty of new beginnings and allow you to grow and flourish as leaders of the future.

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in leadership in the creative industry to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

The guidance I give to leaders is to truly understand who you are. Take the time to identify who you are as a leader and not what you ‘think’ leadership should be. The greatest leaders are the ones that are true to themselves and then empower this belief in others to grow other future leaders.

The best advice I was given was ‘there is no such thing as failure, it’s feedback’.  This transformed my mind-set enabling me to accept ‘failure’ and drive forwards to braver new beginnings. Having this belief only enables me to grow, as whatever the outcome I will have learnt something about myself and my leadership.

One pitfall to be mindful of is to not expect yourself to know it all just because you have a leadership title. The great leaders of 2020 were the ones that were okay saying they didn’t know the answer.  People respect and relate to vulnerability and honesty and a greater sense of team is achieved through this. Vulnerability is courageous and as a leader do not hesitate to step into your courageous zone and be there as ‘You’ for your team.

This is a leader people will want to follow.

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

After leaving corporate at the top of my game, top 10% of the Number one pharmaceutical company, I became a Strengths Coach to corporate teams. Every team I coached went to number one. But something happened. I couldn’t work hard enough or know enough to stop the self-sabotage, and I lost everything. House, car, kids, horses, dogs, cats.

How could I know so much and still not have the results, especially when I am the action taker?

I started to study under a Bob Proctor consultant and within 3 weeks, had manifested 40k worth of business. So again, I thought I was on a roll. I knew it all – it was just a missing piece and I had found it.

Or so I had thought.   Back to square one Sheena!!

I decided right there and then I had had enough and wanted to learn from the person who has been an expert in human potential for over 60 years. I wanted to hear it from the top. So I became a consultant with Bob!! I found out that no amount of work or study would have cleared the programming – I had to have a paradigm shift.

It took 18 months but one day I am in a 2 up 2 down in the city of Manchester to be in a barn conversion in the middle of a field with our own private road, electric gates, parking for about 10 cars, room for my kids, horses all around, etc etc…

How? It takes a paradigm shift.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in Coaching  to grow and flourish through 2021?

It’s not the 10,000 different things you learn to do once – read the next book, do the next course, go to the next seminar. It’s the 10,000 times you do one thing – that’s the paradigm shifter. Pick one program and mentor, and become the intelligent follower so that one day you will be the leader everyone wants to follow.

The law of compensation depends upon:

  • The need for what you do
  • Your ability to do it
  • How much you will be missed, if you leave

The only thing you have control over is your ability to do it. Become a Master at what you do. And that first of all means being a Master of yourself. Your results are 95% mind-set and 5% strategy – it will do you good to remember that.

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in Coaching to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

Focus on possibility – What if?   YES – say yes to life!!

The contrast is only showing us what we don’t want so we know what we do want. Energy flows where attention goes – maintain your direction. Focus on where you want to go and not on where you have been. Be in competition with yourself and create your own economy.

Pitfalls? Listening to others! Ask yourself – does this serve me? Is this conversation/event/person taking me in the direction of what I want? Everything has a vibration to it and if you entertain something that isn’t in line with you, then it becomes part of your reality.

Beata Bikowska - Personal Brand Creator, Business Coach, and Wellbeing StrategistBeata Bikowska – Personal Brand Creator, Business Coach, and Wellbeing Strategist

She helps clients achieve their personal and professional goals faster and more effectively by defining the most important areas of their personal and professional development, creating their personal brand, and removing barriers that prevent them to succeed. She highlights their internal resources, such as personal assets, and support them in turning their limitations into their strength.

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

When I was in college almost 30 years ago (:0) the role of the personal brand was not something that people were aware of. The goal was to graduate, get a job, and to spend the rest of your life there; no matter if you were happy and fulfilled there or not. Climbing the career ladder, changing positions or jobs aroused more anxiety than pleasure and satisfaction. Having many years of personal and professional experiences I decided to share my knowledge, skills and to assist more people. However, I did not know how to communicate it and how to present myself as an expert in my field. Everything changed after recognizing the power of social media and personal brands. It was a moment of tremendous transformation of my business. I become not only visible, but more, also a business partner and personal branding expert.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in business to grow and flourish through 2021?

The ability to communicate effectively with your clients, colleagues, employees or your employer is essential, no matter what industry you work in. Especially now, in the digital stretch, people must know how to effectively send and obtain messages in person as well as via phone, email, and social media.

Thanks to technology and the power of social media, our brand can now cross borders. More, it can even make intercontinental trips. The selection of the appropriate platform and the correct message allow us to conduct activities on an international scale.

Are you looking for a job? Are you a recruiter? Are you a business owner looking for new customers? Are you interested in new business contacts? Or maybe you want to promote your business? If so, take advantage of the opportunities offered by professional brand makers and create your personal and professional image.

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in business to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

Personal branding can help you find your place in the market, create a unique image and professional communication on different platforms. It is a creative and strategic process that instils trust and credibility in your knowledge and skills.

Branding is an authentic way to show your personality and present you as an expert in your field.

Building a personal brand is about using yourself as the face of the company to promote your services. Your name becomes your company name, logo, and signature.

To build a successful personal brand, you need to be visible, consistent, and stand out as an authority in your industry.

In addition, I strongly believe that personal and professional wellbeing are both important subjects around the globe and they cannot exist separately. Therefore, we must create a healthy and supportive environment that brings out the best in people. “maybe health is not everything, but without health, everything is nothing“ Schopenhauer

Shana Tess Francis - An analytical bean-counter by dayShana Tess Francis – An analytical bean-counter by day, Shana runs her administrative support and accounting service firm; and by night, a transcendental creative, author, aspiring painter, and artographer.

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

I am of the school of thought that baby steps can move mountains. Yes, baby steps. It doesn’t only take a bulldozer or a stick of dynamite; simple baby steps done consistently can create transformative changes. And transformative changes aren’t always glaring life shifts. New beginnings can happen from inconspicuous shifts in behavior.

When I first started my administrative support and accounting service, I wanted so much to meet my clients’ needs that I was willing to drive across town to do a job that I knew could be done remotely. And the worst part was I didn’t even drive. So, I had to be chauffeured all across town to do a job that I could do remotely. Lol.

This was BC, Before Covid, when you had to persuade clients of the value of working remotely. But once I stopped trying to convince the client and changed my behavior, my business became what I envisioned; a virtual administrative support and accounting service.

I started only engaging clients who were comfortable with my virtual service. I consistently made the baby steps required to ensure I provided the best remote service to my clients. Eventually, I walked away from all on-site clients.

My shift happened when I decided to change what I could control, my behavior.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in business to grow and flourish through 2021?

Our environment has completely changed. COVID will go down in history as the notorious dynamite that transformed human behavior. It has incited renovation in how we conduct business, how we educated, substantially how we interact as a community. Future humans will look at our world timeline as BC Before Covid and PC Post Covid.

Before Covid, technology was an essential part of doing business. But post-Covid technology is the difference between success and failure.

In our current business environment, digitized commerce and operating in virtual spaces are no longer futuristic.

I urge you to see the opportunities in this profound shift.

Our economy is shifting, and technology is on a fervent rise. And those who are willing to take the responsibility, provide solutions to new needs, and meet the challenge of creating during this time will succeed.

I encourage you to use this time to spark your creative ideas, to do and learn something different.

Now is a great time to carpe diem into entrepreneurship!

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in business to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

The best advice I can give to any individual, regardless of industry, is to be agile, to be adaptable, to allow yourself to experience something, to learn from it, to grow from it, and if need be, move through it.

Be flexible in anticipation of change and commit to a lifetime of learning, one where you look forward to adding new skills and ideas.

When I was in corporate, my manager called me into his office to discuss my decision to switch departments. I respectfully listened as he asked me to think long and hard about my move. “You’re on our managerial track; if you switch departments and go into this entry-level role, it will set you back years.” Although I was grateful for his concern, I was not worried about the “setback.” I saw my shift as a setup because I knew that my envisioned career path needed me to add depth and range to my capacity.

I knew my destiny was not to be a manager in someone else’s company. But to develop and operate a business that not only affords me financial freedom but fosters prosperity in the small business community and helps introduce new entrepreneurs to the virtual service industry.

Do not be afraid to take steps that may not add up to someone else’s envisioned path for you. Create your lane; it’s OK. We’re not all meant to stay doing the same thing forever. We can change lanes and occupy multiple spaces.

I do not believe that we were created to be monolithic beings. I believe that we are dynamic creations, multifaceted, and capable of achieving diverse successes. Yes, it takes a certain amount of bravery and boldness to be the enterprising creatures we were created to be. But we are all capable.

Go for it; explore your varying interests, grow, and seek to add depth and range to yourself. I encourage everyone to be as diverse in how they earn income as they are in their interests.

Be agile.

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

Yes, I have a new beginning every time I contributed to a new book and transform to a new level every time that book sells to help transform another person. Every book sold is an assignment completed and then it’s time to start a new thing for a new person. Every time I write out my truth, it releases more healing which allows me to own my whole truth to help another person. This brings about the transformation in my business to go even deeper in reaching others.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in Life Coaching, to grow and flourish through 2021?

A new beginning and transformation can help you to truly be the answer to someone’s problem. The new beginning starts with you first taking the step to answer your purpose and step out in the unknown to impact another. As you move in obedience then comes the transformation little by little to make you more of the solution to other obstacles and barriers. The deeper you grow the more you transform to be equipped for what you are doing in 2021. In coaching, transforming is needed in order to effectively flourish. Flourishing isn’t just about the money, it’s also about really being able to help the client see a new light that they were once blind to. When your business holds a character of life-changing it will then in-turn bring more clients to make you even more of the answer.

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in Life coaching to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

To have a successful transformation in 2021 in your coaching business you should coach/write from transparency. You are coaching individuals because you relate to where they are and are trying to help them to a new place, so it is important to remain authentic to your own process while helping them. It not only helps to grow your business but gives your clients a better sense of credibility.

Furthermore, invest in yourself. Invest in a coach for the area that you yourself are trying to grow, whether it’s branding, writing a book to grow your client list, or community group. It’s ok to have a coach. As a leader, you should always remain a student. Some pitfalls to avoid in this industry are not utilizing all different opportunities to coach potential clients and growing your audience. In this industry, this could be just having the option for one on one sessions. It’s very effective to leverage all your options such as group masterclasses to assist more than one client at a time and also growing your email list so that you can offer courses, classes, or even memberships at a lower price to a wide range.

Can you share an example of a time in your business when you have had a new beginning and transformation?

Being in the wellness industry for over 30 years, I always have depended on personal contact and communication when helping people with their health either individually or in group settings. This past year with the pandemic has been challenging and definitely transformational.

Like so many, my business came to a halt.

At first, I offset my stress from watching the news with several hours of watching Netflix. Then, one day, I realized my health was at risk which meant the health of my clients was at risk too!

I decided I had to educate myself in technology, so I could share my yoga and nutrition practice online.

I created a wellness course: The Ultimate 11-Day BOOST and in so doing became a 2x International best-selling author.

Now I look at the year of the pandemic as the most productive year of my life!

With this new beginning, I am able to help people throughout the world strengthen their bodies with simple strategies that only take 11 minutes per day.

My vision is to reach as many people as possible and help them become healthier and stronger in their bodies by increasing mobility, flexibility, balance, and decrease pain and inflammation.

Can you share an educational tip of how a new beginning and transformation can help individuals in the wellness industry to grow and flourish through 2021?

As a sole-entrepreneur, you will face many challenges as you shift and pivot in this changing world.

Tip #1 is to join groups and communities that consist of like-minded individuals.

I was in survival mode for 15 years as a single mom after a nasty divorce. It was difficult for me to reach out. Once I realized how many others were alone, struggling with all the new technology like me, it was easier to accept my situation and ask for help.

Tip #2 is to find a mentor or a coach! Everyone needs some guidance.

Find someone who understands what YOU need, teaches in simple terms, and is easily accessible.

What tips or guidance do you have for individuals in wellness to be sure of a successful transformation in 2021 and any pitfalls to look out for through these testing times?

Acknowledging that life has many ups and downs, you want to be able to adapt with confidence, strength, and health.

This means that you need to make self-care a priority no matter what is going on in the environment around you.

Unfortunately, we make excuses that we don’t have the time, we are too busy taking care of others, or we just refuse to listen to our body’s stress signals.

When the body has aches, pains, or poor digestion, it is in survival mode! When ignored, without notice, it can physically break down with a serious injury or illness.

That is why it is imperative to take good care of YOUR body.

When you feel strong and healthy, you are able to work harder and more efficiently.

You only have one body one life, make it the healthiest one!
