Make it known in your organization that you care about the employees, as well as the customers and the owners. If people know each other – not just the perfunctory information or their job titles – but know about each of their personal lives, their values, their hobbies, and their families, then they will like each other, have more loyalty to the team, and trust each of the individuals in a deeper more profound way.
Greater trust and affinity lead to better relationships all around, on the team, and for the clients. People will get in touch with their passion and give more of their heart to the organization and to their job. Keep an open mind for new ideas whilst remembering there is still wisdom stored in past experiences. It might just be that the timing wasn’t right then. Think of the visions of Leonardo Da Vinci and Albert Einstein who were ahead of the current levels of knowledge at their time.
You must have been doing some things right to get to where you are. It might be that you just need to fine-tune some areas. Be prepared to be honest with yourself by analysing what is no longer working and isn’t fit for purpose and let it go. It’s called tough love!

Stay flexible and keep looking one step ahead. Compliancy is a drug that dulls the senses and gives a false sense of security. The fast speed of change is spinning the world all around you. If your willingness to change is slower internally than the speed of change externally, you are destined to stagnate and eventually perish.
Be free to allow yourself pure creative space where you don’t dismiss your ‘way out’ original ideas. Start making time to listen to your intuition and spare some nurturing love for yourself.

Honestly, in my case, I sat on a concept for a cancer film for 15-plus years. I started a film project thinking it was going to be about women who fitted breast cancer survivors with mastectomy bras.
I was knee-deep in the project, but I realized I needed to pivot to something much larger, something that would cast a bigger net and would help multitudes of people. Not just breast cancer, but other medical diagnoses, and life-altering circumstances. Mid-stream I changed, and I interviewed 100 people to be able to share extraordinary women and men whose journey with breast cancer was more compelling and impactful than I thought it could ever be.
I just kept walking one step at a time, even through the onset of covid in 2020 and after 4 plus years, we completed a film that has won numerous accolades which is nice in our industry.
Most importantly it’s the feedback from individuals who now watch the film and express how empowered they feel to be able to advocate for themselves and their loved ones, all realizing there is a sisterhood and brotherhood that lets them know they are not alone.
They have resources. Ones they didn’t know before.
That film is Courageous Warriors Beauty from the Ashes documentary and is available on Amazon Prime Video, PLEX TV, Tubi and Filmocracy and others will be coming online too. So even if you need to correct your course mid-stream, don’t hesitate.

In business, there are many ways to show “love” you could take a walk with a co-worker at lunch or better yet, organize a group of folks who want to walk to reduce stress, have a monthly birthday club for everyone on the team, be mindful of anyone who maybe dealing with illnesses at home to offer an ear for support, and remember when you are on a project at work always help out if someone needs it and you’re ahead of schedule.

This is the year to focus on what you want in all areas of your life, especially your business/career area. We spend 50% of our waking hours at work, keep in mind. After the epidemic we all have realized that we have more flexibility along with how fragile time is with our loved ones.
Make time daily, even if it’s only 30 minutes to spend time with your family or friends, if they are not in town, set up a quick Zoom meeting or FaceTime call.
Focus on whether you are aligned with your authentic self, your passions, and what you are truly meant to do, on this earth in this lifetime. Keep in mind, we are born with many talents, and to define what your final alignment is for you in business for your career it is a process you should go through slowly with a Spiritual Coach or Mentor.
